FAQ's

What is the best pickleball paddle for my skill level?

We categorize our paddles by player performance to ensure you get the right balance of power and forgiveness:

  • Best for Novice to Intermediate Players (2.0 - 3.5): The CORE Elevate is the best pickleball paddle for beginners. It features a premium 3K Carbon Fiber surface, providing a durable and responsive feel. Its standard shape and 16mm core offer a predictable, large sweet spot that helps new players keep the ball in play while learning the fundamentals.
  • Best for Intermediates (3.0 - 4.0): The CORE Reaction Pro is built for those refining their strategy. Engineered with UD (Unidirectional) Carbon Fiber, it provides a stable, high-grit surface for excellent ball control. The Wide-Body shape offers maximum surface area, making it the most forgiving option for players who want to reduce unforced errors.
  • Best for Elite to Intermediate Players (3.5 - 5.0+): The CORE PRO 4G is our high-performance flagship. It uses a specialized UD (Unidirectional) Carbon Fiber face with an integrated high-grit finish—the exact texture elite players look for to generate maximum spin. Combined with its tapered Reverse Teardrop shape, it is engineered for aggressive power and lightning-fast hand speed.

How does paddle shape affect my game?

  • Standard (CORE Elevate): The classic "all-around" shape. It offers a perfectly balanced feel between reach and sweet spot size, making it the go-to for players who want a reliable, predictable response in every situation.
  • Wide-Body (CORE Reaction Pro): Shorter and wider than the standard. This increases the width of the sweet spot, making it much harder to "miss-hit" the ball during fast exchanges at the kitchen. It is the most stable and forgiving shape for defensive play.
  • Reverse Teardrop / Tapered (CORE PRO 4G): This shape is wider at the top than a standard paddle, creating a silhouette closer to the shape of a tennis racket.
  • The Result: It shifts the "sweet spot" higher up the face, creating massive leverage for overheads and "whippy" drives. Unlike traditional head-heavy tapered designs, our engineering solves the "sledgehammer" feel by balancing the mass closer to your hand for elite control.

What is the difference between 3K Carbon Fiber, UD Carbon Fiber, and Raw UD Carbon Fiber?

  • UD (Unidirectional) Carbon Fiber: Used on the PRO 4G and Reaction Pro, this material aligns fibers in a single direction to maximize structural strength and energy return. On the PRO 4G, we’ve optimized this with a raw, premium high-grit surface that "grabs" the ball for professional-level spin. On the Reaction Pro, it focuses on providing a stable, high-traction surface for a "plush" feel and consistent power.
  • 3K Carbon Fiber: Used on the Elevate, this is a classic "cross-weave" carbon fiber known for its incredible durability and balanced performance. It provides a crisp, reliable hitting surface that helps developing players find their rhythm with every shot.

Does core thickness (16mm) make a difference?

Yes. All CORE paddles feature a 16mm core. In the pickleball world, a 16mm core is considered the "control" standard. It absorbs more energy from the ball, allowing for a softer touch on dinks and drops, while our cold-pressed construction ensures you still have plenty of "pop" when you need to put a ball away.

Are CORE paddles USAPA Approved?

The PRO 4G and Reaction Pro are both official USAPA approved. Our team ensures the dimensions, surface friction, and core materials are up to standards for competitive play. The Elevate, meant for beginners, has not been submitted to USAPA since beginners would generally not play in these tournaments.
